π The Philosophy: Accountability & Moral Balance
Receipts is more than just a tracking tool; it is a behavioral experiment. It operates on two modes:
Receipts Mode: For raw, high-accountability tracking.
Littles Mode: For constructive, wholesome relationship building.
The app is 100% Free and Open Source (FOSS). We believe accountability shouldn't be behind a paywall, but it should be governed by ethical constraints. Features like "Loot Boxes" and "Expose Videos" are limited by "Moral Mechanics"βrequiring positive actions (Redemption Credits) or time (Cooldowns) to unlock.

UI Layer: Jetpack Compose for a modern, reactive interface.
π Dependency Injection
We use Hilt (Dagger) for managing dependencies across the app.
π€ AI Layer
Integration with Google Gemini SDK provides intelligent coaching in Littles Mode, offering advice on communication and relationship building.
π₯ Media Handling
Media3 (ExoPlayer): For seamless video playback.
FFmpeg: For complex video operations like the "Expose" compilation videos.
Features
Receipts is designed to document and analyze behaviors through a dual lens of accountability and constructive growth.
πΈ Core Tracking
Photo/Video Capture: Capture timestamped evidence with local-only storage.
Categorization: Organize evidence into custom categories (e.g., "Dishes in Sink", "Laundry on Floor").
Positive Tracking: "Catch them being good" with positive receipts in Littles Mode.
Auto-Avatar: The app automatically updates a person's profile picture based on the category they appear in most frequently ("You are what you do").
βοΈ Advanced Mechanics (The Moral Engine)
Instead of paywalls, advanced features are gated by Redemption Credits and Moral Constraints:
π° Loot Boxes
Mechanic: Selectively "disappear" embarrassing receipts from your feed.
Cost: Requires Redemption Credits, which can only be earned by logging Positive Receipts (5 positives = 1 credit).
Tiers: Basic (1 credit), Rare (3 credits), and Legendary (5 credits).
π Uno Reverse
Mechanic: If a category threshold is met and an automated summary is triggered, the target can "Uno Reverse" the blast if they have sufficient counter-evidence.
Requirement: Must have tracked more receipts on the initiator than the initiator has on you.
π¬ Expose (Hype Videos)
Mechanic: Generate a cinematic compilation of receipts using FFmpeg.
Integrity Limits:
Threshold: Requires 50+ receipts in a single category.
Cooldown: Only one video can be generated every 30 days.
π€ AI Coaching (Littles Mode)
Mechanic: empathetic guidance on communication strategies based on specific logged friction points.
Daily Limit: 3 sessions per day to foster meaningful reflection.
π Gamification & Stats
Achievements: 17+ unlockable badges for consistency, patterns of behavior, and positive changes.
Evidence Board: A high-contrast map and tag view of all logged incidents.
Group Leaderboards: Share profiles locally via JSON to see who has the most (or fewest) receipts in your circle.
